give me all your data
What is it about companies and having such predatory actions for getting your data?
My latest frustration came when wanting to look on the jobs site, Indeed.
You must sign up to view anything more than the first page of jobs... So, email address, mobile number and then they'll also want to be able to keep a copy of my CV.
Why on earth do they need these things? Oh, security? So I can 'verify' my account?
But I also have to check a teeny-tiny box right at the bottom of the page so that you don't send me marketing messages via email and text? Heck, surprised that I don't also get letters through the post.
All I wanted to do was look at the jobs local to me and instead I have to create an account and give you as much data as you can handle about me.
The problem is, this isn't just an issue with one site, the vast majority of sites now have this sort of practice of trying to build up as much data about you as they can, whether it's to sell on or to sell to you.
Where do I get started on building an AI model that can flood these predators with so much data that it makes them sick?
That's an AI revolution I could get behind.
