my custom domain and how it matt(err)s
I believe that I'm a punny guy... Especially with a name like Matt, that goes so nicely into a few interesting sayings, particularly around knowledge and writing 1.
Well, with that said, I took the plunge and got myself a custom domain and to stick with my thoughts on wanting to be a troublemaker, I got a .wtf domain name... specifically, matterr.wtf.
Why is that I hear you scream politely ask?
It has a few meanings to me that I'm hoping can finally break me through those feelings of fear that come from my creative projects.
Firstly, to err on the side of caution is something that I can no longer stand. I must take risks, be vulnerable and share that vulnerability with you.
Secondly, because this matters to me... For over 30 years I've played safe, done what I was supposed to and this is that first step in breaking that cycle.
And finally, because 'err.wtf' is funny to me. Yes, I'm over 30 years old with the mental age of a 13 year old... I'm cool with it.
I don't think I've felt quite as giddy over a creative project and yes, I'm considering my personal blog a creative project, in fact, I'd call it the most important creative project I'll work on.
It's my reminder that creativity is important, personal projects are important and that I'm important.
In short? It matters.
